My name is Brittany. I have spent my entire life attempting to be more than what I already was. There was always something else out there better for me, always something else I wanted to strive for. A lot of that ambition comes from my father if I’m honest. My father taught me that you have to work hard for the things you want in life and that no one would ever hand you something willingly for free.

So, I have fought tooth and nail for every promotion, every great outcome, and everything that I hold dear to me. And being an author is one of those things. I started writing back in 2022. I had this notion that, if all of these authors whose books I was reading, could write a story, then who is to say that I can’t write one too? I wrote a few chapters for the first book in this series and they were complete and utter garbage. 

Let’s be honest with ourselves here, writing a story that people are actually going to like, is hard as hell. So, I gave it up. Filled my brain with self doubt and what ifs and I’m not good enoughs. And then one day, I was watching a show on netflix about an indie author from another country. She believed in herself and her story so much that she self published when no one else would give her a chance. It didn’t portray the story as easy and her sucsess came simply because she went for it. It actualy showed how she failed and had to push harder to get people to give her a chance. But in the end she hit it big.

That was when I really told myself that I could do it. That I was capable. Thus, the mafia promise series was born. People ask me why I chose Mafia to write. And I would love to say it is because I am Italian, or because I grew up around Italians and really like their culture and their way of life. But, that would be a lie. In reality, I chose Mafia romance, because I love reading that genre myself. It is my go to genre to read and so that is the one I clung to when the time came. If you spent the time to read my story here and now and where I started out at.
